Important safety information
Sildenafil is prescribed for erectile dysfunction. Do not combine it with nitrate medicines, often used for chest pain, or with riociguat (Adempas). Do not take it if sex itself is unsafe for your heart. Common side effects include headache, flushing, blocked nose, upset stomach and back ache. Get urgent care if an erection lasts more than 4 hours, or if vision or hearing changes suddenly, or if you have chest pain. This is not a complete list; your clinician will review risks with you.
